PSNI OFFICERS SLATE REPUBLICAN DISSIDENTS OVER BOMB WARNING

PSNI officers have slammed the Republican Dissidents responsible for last night’s disgusting bomb attack in Derry over the timing of the warning given. crawford square

They say the warning given from the terrorists was ‘totally inadequate’ and that they were unable to evacuate the area in time before the bomb went off.

The bomb went off around 10.35pm in the Crawford square area of the city.

Thankfully nobody was injured during the callous bomb attack but PSNI officers believe somebody could have been killed.

PSNI  Supt Mark McEwan said: “A warning was given that was totally inadequate in terms of allowing the police to actually take any positive action and the device was activated before police were able to start the evacuation.

“We have to condemn outright the very fact that somebody has put a bomb in a highly residential area here and that has been placed here in order to intimidate, cause damage and potentially cause serious injury or death.”

The attack has been met with disgust by the public all across Derry and many are worried the city is hurtling back towards it’s depressing past where bomb attacks were unfortunately the norm.

These mindless morons are being widely condemned by all sections of the community and the PSNI have appealed to anyone with any information regarding last night’s bombing to come forward.

It’s been widely acknowledged that Derry is the stronghold of the new menacing IRA.

A terror group which has was formed from a merger of the Real IRA, some ex-IRA activists from Republican Action Against Drugs and members of independent republican organisations in areas such as East Tyrone.

PSNI officers have launched a full investigation into the incident and are confident they can catch the perpetrators responsible for last night’s attack on the city.
