A 32-year-old man is recovering in hospital after being shot in the Waterside area of Derry last night.
Detectives at Strand Road police station are appealing for information after the man was shot in both legs in the Waterside area of the city.
His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
The incident occurred at Lincoln Courts at around 11.30pm.
A PSNI spokesperson asked anyone with information to contact police on the non-emergency 101 telephone number.
