A Service of Remembrance to pay tribute to those people who donated organs for transplantation will be held in Derry this afternoon.
The service, to honour both living donors and those who donated organs after their death, is being organised by the Altnagelvin Renal Support Group.
The service will also remember people who have passed away due to organ failure and will celebrate the “gift of life” achieved through organ donation.
Nigel Cairns will be the guest speaker at the service which will be held in Gransha Church at 3.00pm.
