Police in Derry are hunting two men following an armed robbery in the Rosemount area of Derry last night.
Two men, one armed with a wheelbrace, entered a newasgents in Park Avenue at around 8.40 and made off with a sum of money after threatening staff.
One of the raiders is described as being approximately 5’11” tall, of slim build and was wearing a light grey hooded top and light grey tracksuit bottoms while the other is described as being approximately 5’7″ tall, of medium build and was wearing a dark grey hooded top.
No one was injured in the incident.
A PSNI spokesperson asked anyone with information about the incident to contact CID in Strand Road Police Station on 0845 600 8000.
