Derry girl Gemma Elliott failed to find her “Mr Right” on tonight’s edition of the TV dating show “Take Me Out.”

Gemma Elliott.

Gemma, from the Bishop Street area of the city, was not impressed with the four males who were also “looking for love” on the show, screened on UTV.

The 22-year-old turned down the chance to go on a dream date with Adam from Leeds after hearing he was into motorbikes and had a drawer full of multi-coloured socks, including a bright yellow pair with large pink stars.

Second contestant, shaven headed Jason from Gwent in Wales, didn’t fare much better. He got the “heave ho” after revealing he was the father of two daughters.

Ellison, from Birmingham, “got dumped” after Gemma and the other 29 contestants, found out he once posed in only his boxer shorts.

Long-haired Sam Mitchell never got a look in, Gemma giving the Brighton contestant “the elbow” as soon as he finished his cart-wheel entrance from the “love lift.”

Gemma, an economics and finance student at Leeds University and former pupil of St Cecilia’s College, will return next week hoping for better luck as she looks for the man of her dreams.
