POWER NI FREEZES OUT THE WINTER CHILL WITH INSULATION SAVINGS

Power NI, Northern Ireland’s leading energy provider, has announced over 1,000 households benefitted from its loft and cavity wall insulation offers in 2013.Power-NI-300x143

With the arrival of the first snow of the year and temperatures continuing to dip Power NI is continuing to roll out its insulation offers to help local households save on energy costs and keep warm.

The Power NI offers mean that anyone owning a home with unfilled cavity walls or a loft with little or no insulation can apply to Power NI for up to £150 off cavity wall insulation and £150 off loft insulation.

An astounding 35% of heat is lost through uninsulated walls and 25% of heat is lost through uninsulated lofts and roofs.

With cavity and loft insulation typical household savings can be up to £265 per year – up to £115 savings per year off energy bills by installing cavity wall insulation and up to £150 every year off heating bills by installing loft insulation.

Homeowners who have not yet had the work done are encouraged to act fast and keep out the winter chill.

Claire Carson, from Power NI said: “Last winter many households across the country struggled to keep their homes warm in what was the coldest winter on record. For many people the recent unsettled weather will once again make homeowners think about keeping those energy bills down.

“The better insulated your home, the less energy you need to keep it warm – and the more money you’ll save.

“If your home is not already insulated it’s the first step you should make to make your home warm and cosy and help reduce your bills. Insulation is still the most cost effective solution to preventing heat loss in the home,” added Claire.

Power NI’s cavity and loft insulation offers can help lower the costs and the difference can be noticed straightaway.

There is also the added guarantee of a fully trained Power NI expert fitting your insulation in just one day with no further maintenance required. Furthermore, Power NI can also insulate pipes, water tanks and much more.

For further information visit www.powerni.co.uk/savingenergy or call a Power NI expert on 0800 0321 894. Lines open Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 6:00pm
