Police detected a disqualified driver in Derry on Thursday night.
Police Derry City and Strabane say: “Our District Support Team officers stopped a driver in the city last night (15 May) just before 9pm, in the Buncrana Road area who, after police checks, showed was disqualified from driving.
“A report will be submitted to the Public Prosecution Service for driving while disqualified and using a motor vehicle without insurance.
“We will continue to do we can to make sure every vehicle on our roads is driven by an insured, licensed driver.
“Our ask to drivers is help keep our roads safe and avoid the ‘fatal five’ – don’t drink or take drugs and drive; slow down; don’t be careless; always wear your seat belt and never use your mobile phone while driving.”
