Funeral details confirmed for much-loved Storm Éowyn victim Kacper Dudek

The funeral Mass for a young man who was killed by a falling tree during Storm Éowyn will be held in Lifford this Thursday.

Kacper Dudek, a native of Poland who was raised in Lifford, lost his life early on Friday morning when he was travelling home from his workplace at Zeus in Letterkenny.

He was just 20 years old.

Mr Dudek tragically died on the N14 shortly after meeting a roadblock caused by a fallen tree.

He had turned his car around, only to be struck by another tree at Feddyglass, near Raphoe.

He was on the phone with his father at the time that the tragedy occurred.

Kacper, the beloved son of Artur and Katarzyna Dudek, was born in Brody, Poland and moved to Ireland with his family at a young age.

The eldest of three, he is mourned by his parents, his siblings Karol and Weronika and his girlfriend Molly.

Cathaoirleach of Donegal County Council Niamh Kennedy led a minute’s silence for Mr Dudek in the County House in Lifford yesterday afternoon.

Funeral details for Kacper Dudek, 18 Beechwood Park, Lifford and formerly of Brody, Poland:

Reposing at his home on Tuesday (January 28th) from 4p.m.

Funeral leaving his home on Thursday (January 30th) at 9.45 am for Requiem Mass in St Patrick`s Church, Murlog, Lifford at 10.30 am.

Cremation afterwards in Lakelands Crematorium.

Deeply regretted by his heartbroken mum, dad, brother, sister, girlfriend and family circle.

Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on his soul.

Family time please from 10p.m. to 12 noon.

NO FLOWERS PLEASE.
