‘We are both fine’ – Daniel reassures fans amid cruel illness rumours

Daniel O’Donnell has been forced to confirm that he is in good health after more shocking rumours were posted online.

Online scammers have been targeting Donegal star’s fans by falsely claiming that he or his wife Majella are ill.

“Majella and myself are both fine,” Daniel clarified in a Facebook video.

“There are so many fake posts saying that Majella is not well and I am not well, that we are at death’s door.

“There’s no truth in these fake things at all. We have no control over them, we don’t know where they are coming from and they will probably continue, so just ignore them.”

Daniel and his team have been in a constant battle recently against fake images and false posts on social media.

The only page that will ever share news from Daniel is his own website and official Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/DanielODonnellOfficial

Last month Daniel used his social media to announce that he is to take an extended break from his busy entertainment career.

The 63-year-old told fans he will be taking an extended break from touring due to health challenges, particularly with allergies and recurrent chest infections while touring extensively.

Daniel will continue his touring commitments until December 2025.
