A teenager has been tragically killed in an overnight road accident in Donegal.
The young man died following single-vehicle road traffic collision on the R240 at Cross, Quigley’s Point in Inishowen at approximately 11.15 pm last night.
The young man who died was a passenger in the car.
The driver, a male in his 20s, was taken to the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast, for treatment to his injuries which are believed to be serious.
The road remains closed this morning to allow for an examination of the scene by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.
Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward.
Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area at the time are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.
