To celebrate Irish Language Week 2024, Derry’s Guildhall will host an evening of song and storytelling in the Irish language on Thursday 14th March 2024 at 6:30pm featuring Donegal singer songwriter Brí Carr.

On the evening, Brí will perform traditional songs in the Irish language which explore the singer’s deep affection for Donegal along with a number of songs from her Ceol na Mara (Songs of the Sea) collection and contemporary songs translated into the Irish language.

As demand for this event is expected to be high, audiences are asked to reserve their place in advance by contacting Derry City and Strabane District Council’s Languages Team on T: 028 71 376 579 or by emailing [email protected].

This is one of a series of events being organised by Derry City and Strabane District Council to celebrate Irish Language Week 2024.
