The Mayor of Derry City and Strabane District Council attended a special staff recognition event in The Alley Theatre to honour staffs’ hard work throughout another successful year.

Going from strength to strength since reopening following the Covid-19 pandemic, The Alley Theatre hosted over 200 events in 2023 from concerts and workshops to family-friendly entertainment and art exhibitions.

Mayor of Derry City and Strabane District Council, Cllr Patricia Logue, attended a special staff recognition event for staff last week to officially thank them for their commitment to the centre and their sustained hard work.

“The Alley continues to be recognised as one of the leading arts and conference venues within the North-West of Ireland with fantastic facilities and a jam-packed programme of events throughout the year.

“This venue brings so much to the heart of Strabane and the local community, with events for the entire family to enjoy.

“I would like to say a huge thank you and well done to all the team here for creating this inviting, inclusive and exciting environment where we can give our local arts and culture sector the chance to flourish and grow within the council district.

“The team here work hard and are committed to offering first class customer service and a superb experience for every customer from the minute they enter the front door.”

The leading cultural hub in the North-West, the Alley Theatre continues to offer state-of-the-art facilities to the arts and culture sector with top class entertainment, arts development opportunities and much more for the local community.
