With the Loganair London Heathrow service operating three times daily from City of Derry Airport, the Airport has now introduced a new Heathrow Express ticketing service.

This offers corporate and leisure travellers across the region the convenience of organising their onward travel from London Heathrow in advance, and what’s even better is that passengers can save 10% when booking this service with their local Airport.

Steve Frazer, Managing Director at City of Derry Airport, stated: “As the three times daily service to London Heathrow is in high demand from travellers across our catchment areas in Derry City & Strabane, Donegal and the Causeway Coast, we thought it would be fantastic to enhance their experience further.

“With seamless travel from the minute they arrive in the Airport, through to the departure gate (in less than 15 minutes!), they can now enjoy extended convenience on their onward journey from Heathrow with connectivity into central London and beyond already sorted in advance of travel.

“We are delighted to partner with the wonderful team at Heathrow Express to offer a special discounted ticketing service where passengers can book the Heathrow Express through the City of Derry Airport website or via a dedicated QR code which will be readily available at Heathrow Express points across our Terminal, as well as on all Heathrow Express marketing collateral from the Airport.

“We are proud to offer our loyal customers a 10% saving on tickets and show our appreciation for their ongoing support of their local Airport and the London Heathrow service.”

Heathrow Express is long established as the fastest travel option between Heathrow and Paddington Station.

The train service offers free fares for children aged 15 and under with a fare paying adult and passengers can enjoy free Wi-Fi on board.

An additional benefit for passengers is the Business First Class option offering spacious seating, personal tables to work from as well as access to a wide selection of free digital entertainment including newspapers, podcasts, magazines, and e-books on the onboard digital entertainment platform.

Passengers who hold a Business First ticket can also take advantage of Heathrow Airport’s Fast Track Security service.

Mark Eastwood, Commercial Strategy Lead at Heathrow Express added: “As Heathrow Express continues to build new distribution channels, we are thrilled to partner with Derry Airport.

“As a key route for both business and leisure passengers, this new partnership further enhances the ease of transferring between Heathrow and central London.”
