Police in Derry seize machete and axe following incident

Police in Derry say officers have made a number of seizures following an incident in the city during the early hours of this morning, Thursday, November 30.

Among the items seized were a machete and axe.

Police Derry City and Strabane say: “An assault that occurred in Springtown was reported to police at approximately 2.30 am.

“Officers responded and subsequently located a male who had sustained injuries to his hands and arms.

“He was taken to Altnagelvini Hospital for treatment.

“Officers also seized a quantity of suspected stolen goods, including personal and electronic items, as part of their enquiries following the incident.

“Police have arrested two males and two females as part of their enquiries, who all remain in custody at this time.

“Enquiries are ongoing.”
