Rossville Group Day Opportunities for adults with mild and moderate learning difficulties is delighted to announced the launch of their art exhibition entitled ‘Where The Heart Is’ this Thursday, October 2023 19, at 1pm in Eden Place Arts Centre in Pilot’s Row, Derry.

Members of the public will have the opportunity to view the beautiful art work on display at Eden Place Arts Centre from Friday 20 October 2023 to Thursday 26 October 2023 from 9.30am to 6.30pm.

Vanessa Campbell, Senior Day Care Worker, Adult Learning and Disability Services at the Western Trust explains:

“The work of our talented service users focused on certain themes such as the joy of placing flowers in a vase and feelings around giving or receiving them.

“Service users worked on the theme of familiar faces and produced beautiful abstract work with bright and vibrant colours.

“Members also created a colourful display of a selection of houses, which evoked feelings around home, security and spending time with family, friends and those most important to us in every-day life.

“The work is displayed is in the form of paintings, canvases and fabrics.

“We are very proud of this work and of our members who used their skills to produce this very talented display.

“The exhibition will boost their confidence and motivate us all to progress with our skills and abilities through the medium of arts and crafts.

“Well done to everyone involved and we look forward to warmly welcoming our artists, friends and families to launch our exhibition on 19 October 2023 and welcome the public to view the artwork from October 20 to October 26, 2023.”
