Police are currently in attendance in the Carnanbane Road area of Dungiven, following the report of a suspicious device in the area.
Police say Ammunition Technical Officers have been tasked to the scene to examine the device.
Motorists are advised to expect delays whilst a security operation and search of immediate area is conducted.
There are no further details at present.
