Requiem Mass on Friday for Derry City FC legend Jim ‘Jimbo’ Crossan

The funeral will take place on Friday, May 19, for former Derry City FC player, manager and football legend Jim ‘Jimbo’ Crossan.

He passed away earlier this week.

A family notice reads: “President of The AOH – Board of Erin and former player and manager of Derry City FC.

“Late of 100 Woodbrook and formerly of 2 Hamilton Street. May he rest in peace.

“Beloved husband of Nora.

“Devoted father of Seamus, Maraide, Liam, Anne, John, Karen, Martin, Joan, Barry, Elaine and the late Brenda.

“Loving granda and great-granda to all of his grandchildren. Dearest brother of Jobby and the late Eddie, Mary, Harry, Ron, Liam and Patsy.

“Deeply regretted and sadly missed by all of his wider family circle, friends and neighbours.

“‘Jimbo’s’ remains will be reposing at his daughter Anne’s residence, 3 Lenamore Park.

“Funeral leaving from there on Friday 19th May at 9:20am for 10am requiem mass in St. Columba’s Church, Longtower.

“Burial will take place immediately afterwards in the City Cemetery.

“‘Jimbo’s’ funeral requiem mass can be streamed live via the link below: https://longtowerchurch.org/webcam/

“Wake House Private From 11pm until 10am.

“St. Columba Pray For Him. Our Blessed Lady Intercede For Him.
