Police in Derry say officers have seized drugs, two cars and a quantity of cigarettes during weekend operations.

Police Derry City and Strabane say: “Waterside Neighbourhood Policing Team officers made a number of detections over the weekend for a range of offences.

“These included detections for driving-related offences, including driving without insurance and driving while disqualified.

“Two vehicles were seized as part of enquiries.

“Officers also made detections for drug-related offences over the weekend.

“Following a search of a vehicle in the Strathfoyle area, a quantity of cigarettes were seized.

“As part of enquiries, officers also seized a quantity of suspected Class C drugs which will result in a report being submitted to the Public Prosecution Service (pictured above).

“You’ll see us out and about on patrol, working to prevent and deter crime.

“If you have concerns about any issues in your community, call us on 101.

“We also want to hear from anyone who witnesses any sort of suspicious activity, something out of the ordinary in their area. Your call could be crucial.”
