Baby Canning/Breslin born at Altnagelvin Hospital

THE dedicated midwives at Altnagelvin and South West Acute Hospitals were on hand yet again on New Year’s Day to help deliver new babies in 2023.

The Trust says: “Congratulations to all the mums and dads on the births of their babies born in our Hospitals on New Year’s Day.

“And thanks to the staff in the Maternity and Midwifery wards at Altnagelvin Hospital and South West Hospital.”

Baby girl Breslin/Canning was born at Altnagelvin Hospital at 03.22,am, daughter of Stephen Canning and Marie Breslin from Strabane.

Proud dad Stephen Canning wrote on Facebook: “My 🌎 has grown 💕 the most beautiful wee woman 💞.

“I actually think I’m the luckiest man in the world.

“Marie Breslin was an absolute trooper delivering this bundle of joy.

“Massive thank you to all the staff at Altnagelvin especially Rebecca and Louise in the maternity ward we will be forever eternally grateful 🙏⭐⭐”

Baby girl Noor Parkhill born at Altnagelvin Hospital at 11.38am with mum Lindsay Parkhill and daughter of Zulekha Yassir from Derry.

Baby boy Devlin born at Altnagelvin Hospital at 1.54pm.

He is the son of Rory Devlin and Martina Friel from Drumsurn.

Baby Maliya McHuge born at Altnagelvin Hospital at 2.32pm.

She is the daughter of Ethan McHuge and Ezra French from Strabane.

Charlene and James McGale from Omagh with baby boy Alfie James McGale and Maternity staff midwives Tara Corry and Sr Sandra Wilson at South West Acute Hospital.

Alfie was born at 12.22am on 01-01-23.

Congratulations to all the mums and dads on their new little bundles of joy.

And congratulations to the midwives and staff at both Altnagelvin and SWA Hospitals for helping to deliver the babies on New Year’s Day.
