People Before Profit Councillor Shaun Harkin said has called for an immmediate pay rise for striking Housing Executive workers.
Said Cllr Harkin: “I joined Housing Executive workers on their picket line this morning and signed their strike commitment document for political representatives.
“Housing Executive maintenance workers have been on strike for 14 weeks and their determination has only grown stronger.
“The Housing Executive has more than £300 million in reserves that can easily fund the cost of living pay increase workers need and deserve.
“People Before Profit are in full support of the strike and urge all political representatives to support the campaign.”
