Mayor of Derry City and Strabane District Council, Councillor Sandra Duffy, will welcome Derry City FC players and staff this evening.
They will receive a huge welcome home to Derry city after thrashing Shelbourne 4-0 in the FAI Cup final held at Dublin’s Aviva Stadium on Sunday.
Mayor Duffy, who was among the 15,000 travelling Derry fans at the game, tweeted: “I’m so looking forward to welcoming Ruaidhri and the team to the Guildhall Square this evening🏆
“I would like to invite everyone to join me for a homecoming celebration to remember at 6pm🥳
“Let’s give them the hero’s welcome they deserve!❤️🤍 #derrycity.”
