Police investigating shots fired during bonfire at Meenan Square in the Bogside in August this year
He was arrested under Section 41 of the Terrorism Act by detectives from the PSNI’s Terrorism Investigation Unit, investigating reports of shots being fired at a bonfire in the city in August.
A number of searches were also carried out and items were seized for further examination.
Police say the investigation continues.
The New IRA later said it fired a number of shots towards police officers at Meenan Square in the Bogside.
