DERRY’S only hurling and camogie club has paid a warm tribute to John Coyle who has sadly passed away.

In a posting this morning on its Facebook page, Ballyarnett-based Na Magha CLG said: “It was with great sadness that the committee and members have learned of the passing of Na Magha clubman John Coyle.

“John Coyle for many years was involved in the club development committee.

“John was co-author for both funding applications made to Sports Council and the Department of Social Development, resulting in Na Magha obtaining the club grounds and funding for the clubhouse.

“A lot of the work John done was behind the scenes but without the input of John and others Na Magha would not have the wonderful facilities that we have today.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with John’s wife Kathleen his children Lawerence, Jack, Michael and Eileen.

“John’s funeral will take place Saturday, April 2, in Long Tower chapel at 1pm.

“Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam Uasal.”
