Police appeal over two hit-and-run incidents

POLICE in Strabane have launched separate appeals over two hit-and-run incidents.

They are seeking for witnesses after receiving a report that at approximately 2.20am on Tuesday, January 11 this week a white Vauxhall Vivaro van received damage to the rear door and side panel whilst parked in Ballycolman Estate.

“If you witnessed this incident please contact Police on 101 quoting ref 531 of 11/01/2022,” said a police spokesperson.

Strabane Police are also appealing for witnesses over another hit-and-run incident which happened at approximately 4:30 pm on Christmas Day, December 25, 2021, on Ferguson Crescent, Castlederg, at the mini roundabout.

“A white Peugeot 207 car was damaged and we are looking to speak to the driver of a Silver Audi Q5,” added the police spokesperson.

“If you have any information in relation to this please contact Police on 101 quoting ref 791 26/12/2021.”
