Derry City’s Caolan McLaughlin

DERRY City manager Ruaidhri Higgins has confirmed this afternoon that midfielder Caolan McLaughlin is to join Institute on a six-month loan deal with immediate effect.

The City boss insists that the 20-year old will benefit from regular first team football with Brian Donaghey’s side and said he looked forward to watching the player progress at the Championship club.

“This is a good opportunity for Caolan to play regularly and gain more experience in senior football” he said.

“He has plenty of potential and will no doubt benefit from this and come back a better player.”

“I want to wish him every success during his time at Institute.”
