ACTIVISTS from the North West Climate Coalition dropped a banner to send a message loud and clear to Governments meeting in Glasgow, ‘People Rising for Climate Justice’.

Mass mobilisations of protestors and climate campaigners are happening on Saturday, November 6, as part of a global day of action to put pressure on Governments to enact urgent and radical measures to properly address the climate crisis.

The public are urged to join the rally in Derry tomorrow which is being held at Waterloo Place at 2 pm.

Maeve O’Neill, a member of the North West Climate Coalition said: “Previous Climate Conferences of world leaders has gotten us no where near to taking proper action on the climate crisis.

“It is nothing more than a greenwashing opportunity for those in power.

“Real change will come from the organising and mass mobilisation of millions of people across this world.

“This is people power and its the most effective tool we have in making the transformative change we need.

“Join us on Saturday, November 6, at 2pm in Waterloo Place, gathering from 1.30pm, to rally and march, joining people on the streets across the world to demand urgent and radical climate action!

“We have speakers from a broad range of environmental campaigns, music and poetry.”
