Requiem Mass on Sunday for crash victim Edward English

THE funeral will take place tomorrow, Sunday, September 18 for the pensioner who died in a tragic two vehicle collision in Co Donegal.

Much loved Edward English lost his life after the collision on a road between Quigley’s Point and Muff around tea time on Thursday, September 16.

The 84-year-old was the sole occupant of his Matiz car which was in collision with a Fiat van around 5.30 pm.

A Family Notice reads: “EDWARD ENGLISH, 16th September 2021, suddenly as a result of a road traffic accident, 230 Culmore Road, beloved son of the late Edward and Elizabeth, loving brother of the late Willie, Leo and Margaret and a much loved uncle and great-uncle.

“House restricted to family and close friends only please, due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

“His remains will be removed from his home on Saturday at 5 pm to Sacred Heart Church, Muff for the funeral mass on Sunday at 1 pm.

“Interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

“Family flowers only please.

“Donations in lieu of flowers if wished to the Foyle Hospice, 61 Culmore Road, Derry, BT48 8JE.

“Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on his soul.”
