Sharon Jayne needs an urgent blood donation as she battles Leukemia

AN SOS has gone out for urgent blood donations for a woman who is battling the ravages of Leukemia.

Sharon Jayne needs a critcal blood transfusion within the next two to three days in a bid to save her life.

She wrote on Facebook: “Hi there, I normally don’t paste much as I am a private person but I am desperate for your help.

“I need a blood donor, who is female, A-negative blood group and has children.

“If you meet the criteria and could make a blood donation then you could save my life.

“I am battling Leukemia but I want to keep fighting.”

Sharon is currently in the Blood Transfusion Service centre at Belfast City Hospital.

If can you help with a donation of blood and platelets, you can ring the BTS centre to make an appointment on 02890 321 414.

If you can’t travel from Derry to Belfast, the BTS could direct you to a local donation session in your area.

Your donation could help save Sharon’s life.

Please share with family and friends to see anyone is a match for Sharon.

Thanks.
