Third man charged over possessing indecent child images

DETECTIVES from the PSNI’s Serious Crime Branch have charged a third man with possession indecent images of children, possession of extreme pornographic images and possession of a prohibited image of a child.

The 38-year-old is due to appear at Strabane Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, September 2, 2021.

As is normal procedure, the charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service

He is the third man to be charged over the ongoing police investigation into the possession of indecent images of children.

A 37-year-old man was charged earlier this month with possession of indecent images of children and distribution of indecent images of children.

He is also due to appear at Strabane Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, September 2 for a first remanding hearing.

Detectives have also charged a 43 year old man with possession of indecent images of children and distribution of indecent images of children.

He is due to appear at Derry Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, September 1 for a first remanding hearing.
