A COMMUNITY group in Derry has called for an end to illegal dumping in their area.
Galliagh Community Response say local youths fear they will be blamed for it and will put their summer bonfire in danger.
A trolley load of rubbish along with other material and pallets have been dumped in their by fly-tippers.
GCR say on its Facebook page: “The young people in the area along with the entire G.C.R community share the same anger after people from Galliagh and elsewhere think they can dump there old belongings and rubbish in the middle of our area…
“The young fellas have made contact to say that people are dumping there rubbish and fear they will be blamed and could effect there bonfire!!
“We demand people do not dump in our area.
“If members of the G.C.R know of anyone doing this we will delivery your misplaced rubbish back to your door!!”
