Three people arrested in Derry over £28,000 drug seizure

THREE people have been arrested in Derry this week following searches and the seizure of £28,000 worth of drugs and a large amount of ‘dirty cash’.

Police Derry City and Strabane say: “Foyleside and Moor Neighbourhood Team along with our Tactical Support Group colleagues conducted a number of premises searches this week in relation to the supply of controlled drugs in the Derry City area.

“As a result of this investigation, we have seized a considerable quantity of cash, Class A Controlled Drugs and Class B Controlled Drugs with a street value of approximately £28000.

“Three people have been arrested and our enquiries are ongoing.

“There is no place for drugs in our community.

“If you have any information about drugs in our community, you can call 101 or anonymously via the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
