Following on from the huge increase in demand for hotel breaks in Donegal this summer and giving that Inishowen is among the top ten destinations in ireland this summer, the Inishowen Gateway Hotel in Buncrana, Co. Donegal is looking to recruit more than usual as they face a bumper summer.

Operations Manager, Marie Craig, says: “Demand has been unprecedented. From our opening weekend we are looking at fantastic occupancy where we thought it would have taken more time to see previous (pre 2020) occupancy rates. Because of such we are seeking to recruit more than usual.

“Our staff are what make us and because of this we need the right team in place to meet the demand. When we reopened in June 2020 it took a few weeks for people to trust that hotels where safe environments and when they did arrive they were so delighted at how well maintained the additional cleaning requirements (due to Covid 19) were carried out and because our training standards exceeded their expectations, this has aided us gain our customers trust that they will be well looked after.

“I believe that due to our commitment to ensuring a safe, and welcoming environment for their much-anticipated hotel break last year, as soon as dates for reopening were announced, bookings have been flying in. We really are so delighted that our regular customers have been so quick to book to return to us, along with new customers, and we cant wait to welcome everyone once again.”
