POLICE are investigating a second shooting in the Derry this week.
Officers responded to a shooting incident in the Currynierin area last night, Thursday, April 15.
Shortly before 11pm, it was reported that two men forced their way inside a house in Whitethorn Drive and shot a male occupant a number of times in his legs.
The man is currently receiving medical treatment for his wounds.
An investigation is underway and anyone with any information which could assist with police enquiries is asked to contact officers at Strand Road on 101 quoting reference number 2083 15/04/21.
Information can also be given anonymously through the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
On Tuesday night, up to four men forced their way into a house at Meenan Drive in the Bogside and shot a male in his 20s in both legs.
