Sharon Murray Linkedin specialist

LINKEDIN specialist Sharon Murray will be imparting some of the secrets to building an effective profile on the social media network when she hosts an online tutorial as part of this year’s Enterprise Week Derry Strabane.

The LinkedIn Revolutionary takes place online on Monday 19th April from 1.30 – 3.00pm and will outline five key
steps to convert your Linkedin account into a virtual sales office.

Sharon, a 52 year-old single mum originally from Bangor but now living near Glenavy, graduated from Queen’s University with a degree in Spanish and Business in 1990 and has worked mainly in the Education sector as a PA/Office Manager.

She always wanted to start her own business but time never allowed until two years ago when she made an impulsive decision to leave her job and try her hand at being a virtual assistant where she began to hone her Linkedin skills.

“I quickly realised that my ideal clients were on Linkedin and I needed to familiarise myself with the platform,” she explained.

“I fell in love with it and quickly recognised the massive potential it has which seemed to be untapped by so many businesses.

“For so many people, the last 12 months has brought a huge shift to their business as they are no longer able to ‘sell’ face to face and moving online is unknown territory.

“It is predicted that 50% of sales will continue to be online even after the pandemic – virtual selling is not a temporary challenge – it is an essential path you need to take in order to sustain and grow your business for the future.

“My strategy is to be authentic, transparent and human and I am on a mission to revolutionise how business owners feel about and use the platform.”

Sharon’s presentation will focus on re-assessing your business message and ideal client in the current climate and creating a powerful Linkedin profile that reflects the recent challenges.

She will impart tips to support your online sales journey and remove some of those fears that may be holding you and your staff back during these difficult times.

Enterprise Week 2021 will be held from Monday April 19th to Friday April 23rd and will offer expert support in building business resilience and how to tailor operations and services to meet the unprecedented challenges that the expected reopening of full trading will bring.

Among the highlights in the five day programme are three Full Circle hosted workshops on Business Resilience, Social Media and Online Advertising.

A two day blended digital and live event powered by Startacus entitled Level Up 2021 will seek to inspire post pandemic ideas and spark creativity by exploring how people, both locally and internationally, have innovated and created economic growth and initiated real change.

You can register for all the events at derrystrabane.com/enterpriseweek where the full programme of events is also
available.
