Sinn Fein Foyle MLA Martina Anderson

SINN Féin’s Martina Anderson has launched a new document focused on tackling regional inequalities and creating more jobs and opportunities.

Said the Foyle: “The events of the last year have highlighted the need for a different approach to growing the economy so that no one is left behind.

“We need to create space to help people with no or low qualifications to find work. That means a new skills strategy is needed to give people the tools to secure meaningful employment.

“Sinn Féin is launching a new document aimed at tackling regional inequality through supporting apprenticeships and job opportunities.

“This will not only boost the economy; it will also help the mental health and wellbeing of young people.

“This new employability framework will help people escape the clutches of poverty, deprivation and inequality and help transform our society.

“By creating jobs and more opportunities we can help to give young people, workers, families and communities a much-needed break.”
