RIan Quigley plans to do charity skydive for Foyle Search and Rescue

A Derry man has decided to do a charity sky dive to raise much needed funds for Foyle Search and Rescue.

So far, Rian Quigley has received just over £200 of his £1,000 target on a GoFundMe page he hopes to raise for FSR which patrols the waters around the Rive Foyle 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Last year the brave FSR volunteers were involved in 200 incidents, saving countless lives.

Said Rian: “This year I would like to try and achieve something I have always thought about and decided to do it as a fundraiser.

“The reason I want to do this Sky dive is to raise money for a service that is so dear to our city.

“Over several years Foyle Search and Rescue have saved so many people from taking their lives in the River Foyle and elsewhere around the north west.

“By donating to this cause you are giving back to the men and women who do so much for our community.

“Thank you!”
