THE dedicated midwives at Altnagelvin Hospital were on hand yet again on New Year’s Day to help deliver new babies in 2021.

The first to arrive at arrive at the Derry hospital was little Oisin Tang who came into the world at 4.15 am.

But Oisin wasn’t the first baby to be born in the Western Trust area.

The first new arrival baby Kayden William McMahon born at 2.29am today at the South West Acute Hospital, Enniskillen is pictured with mum Kim and dad Andrew from Fivemiletown

Just a couple of hours earlier, Kayden William McMahon was born at 2.29am today at the South West Acute Hospital.

Also born at the South West Acute Hospital was baby Logan who entered the pandemic world at 2 pm.

Here he is pictured with proud mum Sarah and dad Niall from Enniskillen.

We wish all the new mums and dads the health and happiness to enjoy their new bundles of joy.

And also a special thank you to the midwifery teams who helped to deliver the babies safely into the world.
