A DERRY Sinn Féin Councillor has welcomed proposed design plans for zig zag paths in Creggan Burn.

Mickey Cooper was speaking after meeting the Glen Development Initiative (GDI) and officers from Derry City and Strabane District Council to pursue proposals and discuss design development for land around the zig zag paths at Creggan Burn.

Councillor Cooper said: “I was pleased that this meeting took place to try and push forward plans for the zig zag paths at Creggan Burn.

“This is a popular area so it’s important we get this right and is done in as short a time frame as possible.

“I look forward to some initial design proposals being produced in the New Year and would like to thank the GDI and the Council for their work on this.”
