Homes in Derry without electricity after power cut

Power cut in Derry

THERE has been a major power cut to homes in Derry this afternoon.

Many homes and businesses are currently without electricity.

NIE Networks say: “We are aware of an issue in Derry BT47/BT48.

“A repair team has been assigned and is en route as we speak.

“The fault is due to a failure of the high voltage electricity network.”

NIE hopes to have power back on as soon as possible.
