Coronavirus: Wakes cannot be held when a loved one dies

FIRST Minister has given further details around the issue of what happens if a person dies under the new restrictions.

“The remains of a deceased loved one can be brought back to the family home,” she said.

“But household restrictions will apply.

“And wakes, unfortunately, are not to be held.”

Funerals are limited to 25 people and social distancing measures must be adhered to.

Places of worship can remain open but church goers must wear a mask when entering and leaving.
