Sinn Fein councillor Patricia Logue

SINN Féin Councillor Patricia Logue has welcomed confirmation from the Department for Infrastructure that it still intends to add additional speed cushions on the Braehead Road.

Said Cllr Logue said “I have been working on this issue for a number of years now along with residents and the Department for Infrastructure to try and find solutions about speeding on the Braehead Road.

“Department officials visited the Braehead Road area this week and met with some of the residents.

“They fully appreciate that there is an expectation that the work on putting in additional speed cushions should have happened by now.

“They have told me that a renewed effort is being made to provide these two new speed cushions.

“And they will endeavour to make this happen as soon as practicable.

“At this stage they do not have a date when this work will be carried with COVID but hopefully it will happen soon.”
