Coronavirus: No further deaths in North from COVID-19, but ten new cases

THE Department of Health say there have been ten new confirmed cases of COVID-19.

It brings the total number of confirmed positive cases in the North of Ireland to 5,948.

There have been no COVID-19-related deaths recorded by the Department of Health in the past 24 hours, which means its death toll 556.

The department’s daily figures are mostly comprised of hospital deaths, where a patient had previously tested positive for the virus.

Two patients with COVID-19 are currently being treated in intensive care in a hospital here.

There have 29 confirmed deaths from Coronavirus in the Derry City and Strabane District Council area since March.
