A MAN has been arrested in Derry over a police investigation into violent dissident republican activity in the city.
Detective Inspector Clara Heaton said: “Detectives from the PSNI’s Terrorism Investigation Unit arrested a 27 year old man in Creggan, Derry last night in connection with an ongoing investigation into dissident republican activity.
“He is currently being questioned in Musgrave Serious Crime Suite in Belfast.”
Update at 6.15 pm: Police have now said the man has been released.
A spokesperson says the investigation is ongoing.
