THE NI Policing Board has appointed nine new members to join the Derry and Strabane Policing & Community Safety Partnership (PCSP).

Coming from across the Derry City and Strabane District Council area, the new independent members will work alongside local councillors, the police, and a range of statutory agencies to ensure that the voices of local people are heard on policing and community safety issues.

The five females and four males will bring expertise from health, farming, community, education and business to the PCSP.

Chair of Derry and Strabane PCSP, Cllr Martin Reilly, welcomed the reconstitution and appointments of these new members.

“All these people have stepped forward as they want to make a difference to policing and community safety issues across our community through the PCSP’s work.

“We have a programme of work that will deliver a difference.

“I look forward to working with the members in the time ahead.”
