Coronavirus: No further deaths recorded in North from COVID-19

THE Department of Health has reported in its daily update that there have been no new Coronavirus-related deaths in the North of ireland in the past 24 hours.

The figures, which mostly record fatalities in a hospital setting, show there have been a total of 551 deaths in Northern Ireland during the pandemic.

The total number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 now stands at 5,760 according to the department’s figures – an increase of three from the previous day.

There have been 27 deaths from COVID-19 in the Derry City and Strabane District Council area since the pandemic erupted in March.

There have also been 212 confirmed cases within the council boundary.

For a third day in a row, there have been no one in intensive care wards in the North of Ireland with Coronavirus, Health Minister Robin Swann has said on Tuesday.
