Sinn Fein councillor Tina Burke

SINN Féin Councillor Tina Burke says she is seeking an urgent meeting with the PSNI following concerns over policing in Creggan area of the city in recent weeks.

Said Cllr Burke: “Many people have raised concerns over policing operations in Creggan in recent days and weeks.

“In particular there are concerns over the PSNI’s approach to young people and large scale policing actions in the area.

“Sinn Féin will be seeking an urgent meeting with the PSNI in Derry to discuss these concerns.

“The public rightly expect the PSNI to be held to the very highest policing and human rights standards and that is what we will continue to do.”
