THE Department of Health has today announced that there have been two more COVID-19 related deaths in the North of Ireland.
It brings its total to 518.
Both of the deaths happened since Wednesday.
The department’s daily figures are mostly comprised of hospital deaths and where a patient had previously tested positive for the virus.
The latest figures on the department’s dashboard show a further 16 confirmed positive cases of the virus, bringing that total to 4,679.
There have been 27 confirmed deaths from Coronavirus in the Derry City and Strabane District Council area.
Statistics show there have 166 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the council area.
