Firefighters are tackling a significant blaze at a derelict building in Derry’s Pennyburn Pass area.
The fire is at the former Arntz Belting factory on the city’s Buncrana Road.
A large amount of smoke can be seen from the road.
The road was closed at its junctions with the Springtown Road and Strand Road for a time this afternoon.
But police now say the Buncrana Road has reopened to motorists.
The derelict site is owned by Simpsons who own the local bowling alley.
The cause of the fire has yet to be established by the Fire and Rescue Service.
