Middleton presses for progress on Medical School and Growth Deal

DUP Foyle MLA Gary Middleton

FOYLE DUP MLA Gary Middleton has been pressing party colleagues and Executive Ministers on the need for progress on the Medical School and North West City Deal.

Said Mr Middleton: “It is important to see the North West City Deal and Medical school proposals moving forward.

“I have been lobbying Executive Ministers strongly to get progress on both issues.

“The Graduate Entry Medical School is particularly time sensitive given the deadlines to ensure students can be admitted in 2021.

“There should be no doubt about the role a City Deal could play as a catalyst for business growth and job creation.

“Bringing more and better jobs to the North West has been a DUP priority and the inclusion of City Deals into the Confidence and Supply agreement in 2017 has helped move this forward for the North West region.

“We now need to see further progress in the near future,” added the Foyle MLA.
