THE people of Derry are being asked to help Chloe Tinney to raise much needed money for Foyle Search and Rescue and its brave volunteers.

Chloe is today taking on a remarkable challenge – she is going to climb the equivalent of Mount Everest in her home!

Writing on her Facebook page, Chloe says: “I’m climbing Mount Everest (in my home) for Foyle Search and Rescue starting today for 10 days.

“Please share this and donate if you can so we can raise as much as we can 🙂

100% of proceeds are going to Foyle Search & Rescue, you can donate here — https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/chloe-climbs-mount-everest-fr…

“How you ask?

“Mount Everest is 8,848 Metres high.

“So I need to climb 44240 stairs (20cm stairs).

“That’s 3403 flights of my stairs (We have 13 stairs).

“So thats 340 flights a day for 10 days..

“It’s a lot of stairs but it’s doable and I am more than happy to do it if I can help raise a little bit of money for this amazing Charity!

“Foyle Search and Rescue do so much for our community and I am sure that lots of people in our town have been affected by the work they carry out on the preservation of life in and around the River Foyle.

“Thanks everyone

“Chloe x.”

We wish Chloe all the best in her challenge to raise much needed funds for Foyle Search and Rescue.
